Are There Cracks in the Pakistan Team? Former Star Claims Skipper Mohammad Rizwan Is Unhappy with a Player's Selection.

Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan is reportedly dissatisfied with the selection of a player in the team's Champions Trophy squad.

The countdown for the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan and Dubai is quickly coming to an end, with the first match scheduled for February 19. As the tournament approaches, some divisions within the team appear to be emerging. Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali has claimed that all is not well within the side. According to Basit, Pakistan's captain, Mohammad Rizwan, is unhappy with the inclusion of Faheem Ashraf in the team for such an important event.          The Pakistan team has undergone significant changes in recent months, including shifts in the coaching staff and the selection committee. While some players may adapt to these changes, any captain would naturally prefer to have players in his squad whom he trusts. Unfortunately for Rizwan, this does not seem to be the case.     "Rizwan clearly showed he was not pleased with Faheem Ashraf's inclusion in the team. He did not give him the ball after just two overs and only used him again when the match was already lost," Basit stated on his YouTube channel.     Ashraf was part of Pakistan's XI in the tri-series ODI final, where he scored 21 runs and allowed 16 runs in just 2.2 overs. This performance indicates that he may not yet be prepared for such a high-stakes environment. Rizwan's decision to limit Ashraf's involvement during the final reflects these concerns.     When looking at Ashraf's ODI record, he has only taken 26 wickets in 35 matches, averaging 46.31 runs per wicket. His economy rate during this time has been 5.18. With the bat, he has scored only 246 runs at an average of 11.18. These statistics do not justify his selection for Pakistan's Champions Trophy squad. However, with the new selection committee in place, the dynamics of power in Pakistan cricket have changed significantly.
